Giles has traveled abroad on mission trips to El Salvador and Kenya to treat children with facial deformities.

Fun Facts
Giles got his first exposure to ENT medicine when he was in fifth grade after fishing with his brother.  When his brother was casting, his lure accidently caught Giles' nose which required the services of an ENT specialist. Giles was subsequently drawn to the practice because of the great technical skill this surgical specialty requires and the variety of disorders treated.  He enjoys following patients through their care plan while educating them on how to make the best decisions for their health.  He is active in his Church and community and has coached youth baseball and basketball.  He enjoys the outdoors, and yes, he still fishes with his brother.

About Dr. Kirchner
Prior to joining CENTA in 2010, Kirchner had a solo practice in Connecticut for more than 20 years, where he also taught at the Yale School of Medicine. Kirchner has always had a love for the diagnostic challenges presented by many ENT disorders and for the balance of medical and surgical therapy in the field.  He particularly enjoys microscopic ear surgery and endoscopic sinus surgery.  His patients range in age from young children to older adults whose diagnoses include, but are not limited to, hearing loss, ear infections, dizziness, sinus disease, tonsillitis and sleep apnea.  Kirchner annually participates in mission trips to Kenya to perform cleft lip and palate surgery on indigent children.

Why CENTA?
At CENTA, patient education is a priority.  We strive to educate our patients about their ailments, both to relieve anxiety and to invite their input into the creation of individualized treatment plans that work best for them.  If patients understand their diagnoses, they can play a role in treatment planning and are more likely to complete the treatment that will make them better.
